Ruqiyah Category: Part-01
1. Who is Ruqiyah?
✍ When a person recites the Qur'an by himself or someone else recites it to him with full trust in Allah in anticipation of healing from physical, mental, spiritual or jinn, magic and evil eye diseases, we call it Shar'i Ruqyah. Shari'i Ruqyah includes not only the Qur'an, but also the Du'as mentioned in the Hadith.
Considering the literal meaning of Ruqyah, the reciter can sweep the patient by reading Ruqyah and there is no problem if he does not sweep.

✍ Just as Islam has given advice to cure diseases by following the rules of hygiene and taking medicine, it has also allowed the cure of diseases with the help of prayers or mantras in certain cases. There is no objection to taking treatment by Jharfunk, especially in those cases where medicine is of no use, but in those cases it is preferable or more useful to take treatment by Jharfunk.

✍ However, in this context, it is important to remember and note that the words of prayers or mantras should not contain any words related to Shariat. For example, magic spells, Shirkal words, observance of Shariah-prohibited dates and times as directed by Jyotish Shastra etc. They are not recognized by Islam but are strictly prohibited and declared haram. Try to understand the hadith below:

✍Auf bin Malik (RA) said that we used to recite mantras during the Jahili period. So after being converted to Islam, we asked, O Messenger of Allah! What do you think about those spells?'

✍ Rasul (īˇē) said, 'Present your mantras to me. I have no objection to their use as long as they do not contain any shirk words.' [Muslim, Mishkat 88 p.]
Therefore, there is no harm in reciting those mantras that do not contain the names of gods and goddesses, jinns, ghosts, or any pir-oli or asking them for help. Again, those mantras whose meaning is not understandable, should be kept apart from the recitation of those mantras. Because, they may contain some forbidden matter - in this apprehension.

🔴On the contrary, there is no prohibition to use those mantras which do not contain any prohibited words. There is proof of that in the following two hadiths:

✅ 1. Aisha (RA) said that the Messenger of Allah (īˇē) used to recite mantras to remove the evil eye: He instructed us to blow. [Bukhari, Muslim, Mishkat, 388 p.]
✅ 2. Anas (RA) said, "The Messenger of Allah (īˇē) permitted the use of sweepings for the treatment of evil eyes, stings of poisonous animals and infected wounds." [Muslim, Mishkat- 388 p.]
All kinds of ailments can be helped by prayers and mantras. But in the case of the above three diseases, mantra reading is more effective than other diseases and the benefits of mantra reading are more observed in the hadith.
It is not illegal to drink the water after chanting a mantra or to wash it after chanting a mantra; Rather, it is something according to the hadith. But it is not right to write a talisman on the hand or hang it around the neck. Note a hadith to this effect:

✍ Hazrat Zainab (RA), the wife of Abdullah Ibn Masood (RA) said, Abdullah once saw a thread hanging around my neck and said, "What is this on your neck?" I said, 'It is a thread, on which mantras are recited.' Hearing this, Abdullah grabbed the thread and tore it and said, 'Abdullah's family has abstained from Shirk, and what is yours? It belongs to the stage of shirk! I heard it from the Prophet (īˇē) with my own ears. He said, “Prohibited invocations, hanging amulets on the hands and necks and magic spells are all included in Shirk. [Abu Dawud, Mishkat p. 389]

✍ The Prophet of Allah (īˇē) said, "The use of charms, bala noa, etc. does not gain anything, but only causes harm." [Ahmad: 4:45, Ibn Majah: 3531]

Any talisman which is designed and written with numbers, which is made with the name of an angel, jinn or devil or with the help of telesmathi magic or made of any metal, bone of animal or bird, hair or feather or root of a tree, is certainly to be used. shirk
However, there is a difference of opinion among the scholars regarding amulets written by Quranic verses. But it is also correct not to use it. because,

First: The Messenger of Allah (īˇē) called the use of amulets shirk. It can refer to all kinds of amulets.
✅Secondly, the talisman written by the Qur'anic verse will be tied around the neck, hand or waist for urinating, sexual intercourse, menstruating women and other impurity. So that the Qur'anic sages will be dishonored and dishonored. It is surprising that according to them, if the talisman is tied to a shrine or a shrine, the talisman falls off. But how does this talisman not fall on the untouchable.
✅Third: If the use of such amulets can be legalized, then non-Qur'anic amulets will also be seen to be used. Therefore, the use of Qur'anic talismans to close the portals of this shirk will also be illegal.
This is the end of the story about Ruqiyah. Editor: I am Rasiqul Islam.
